Why do I Need a Legal Plan?
Legal problems can happen when you least expect them, and attorney fees can quickly cost thousands of dollars. Our Legal Plan gives union members and their family affordable access to professional legal help when they need it.
How Much Does the Legal Plan Cost?
Our comprehensive Legal Plan is only $33.33 per member, per month.

What Is Not Covered by the Legal Plan?
The Legal Plan does not cover:
- Workplace or on-the-job matters
- Claims against the union
- Claims against the employer
- Claims against another eligible union member
How Do I Open a Case?
Simply call our office to schedule an appointment. There are no forms to complete.
Is There a Limit on How Much Legal Help I Can Receive Each Year?
No. Eligible members have unlimited access to covered legal services.
Is There a Limit on the Number of Cases I Can Open?
No. Eligible members may open an unlimited number of covered cases.
Is There a Limit on Attorney Hours?
No. Eligible members receive unlimited attorney time for covered matters.
Who Is Covered Under the Legal Plan?
Coverage extends to:
- The member
- The member’s spouse
- Dependent children
What If I Have a Legal Problem After Hours?
We offer a 24-hour emergency hotline staffed by an attorney.
What If My Company or Union Does Not Offer a Legal Plan?
Speak with your union representative and encourage them to contact Regan Associates. We are always available to explain how a Legal Plan can benefit union members.
Are Workers’ Compensation Cases Covered?
No. Because the employer funds the Legal Plan benefit, we are ethically prohibited from handling workers’ compensation claims due to conflicts of interest.
Can the Union Use the Legal Plan for Labor Law or ERISA Questions?
No. The legal plan does not provide advice for labor law or ERISA matters.
Can the Legal Plan Help With Problems at Work?
No. Workplace disputes and on-the-job issues are not covered. If you have a problem at work, you should contact your union representative.
