The Member signed a contract to sell their home, as well as two adjoining lots, to a Developer for $2.1 million. We drafted the contract to protect the Member in case the City refused to issue permits to the Developer for its proposed project. The Developer later tried to modify the contract by asking for a price reduction from Member, which we rejected. When the Developer attempted to back out of the agreement due to some alleged defect in the title of the property, the LEGAL PLAN proved that the title contained no defect, and the Member was awarded an additional $85,000.00 for the sale. The Member received over $40,000.00 worth of tax-free legal services.
